The Canton's First Monday Trade Days

First Monday Trade Days may be a well-known occasion in East Texas, but that doesn't stop hundreds of hundreds of people traveling to The city of Canton for four days every month. They are open from Thursday until Monday, ahead of the First Tuesday of every month, hundreds of vendors will set up shop offering a wide range of shopping opportunities.


What started more than a century ago as an antique market has grown into the location for some of most cutting-edge, innovative home furnishings, antiques and collectibles purchased anywhere. In the last 150 years, a lot of things have changed in The Original First Monday Park; however, the genuine, intimate human relationships between vendors and customers is the reason why people come back year after year.

September 2nd-5th


September 30th - October 3rd


October 28th - October 31st


December 2nd - 5th



According the official First Monday Trade Days website it is the oldest and most continuously operating outdoor flea market anywhere in the United States.


According to trade days canton in selling on markets, concept that led to the idea of First Monday Trade Days started way back in 1850. the circuit judge was able to travel to Canton on the First Monday of every month. People from all over the county came to Canton to attend to their court proceedings. Over time, residents brought their own possessions, whether it be produce, livestock or other original pieces, to trade or sell. In the year 1965 First Monday outgrew the town's Town Square so it was relocated to the current location. And that was the end of it...


First Monday Trade Days is made up of a variety of private sellers so odds are, no matter how many times you've visited and you'll never have the chance to experience it all. The flea market is situated across hundreds of acres that offer more than 700,00 square meters of shopping.


Participating in First Monday is free, but the majority of the parking garages that surround the trade ground charge $5 for parking
